Advanced vision sensor technology

The patented part finding sensor has three important advantages:

  • Detects a part by locating a feature on the part, not just an edge
  • Tracks parts in varying positions along the production line, overcoming imprecise part positioning
  • Does not require additional sensors to determine if a part is present
PRESENCE SENSORS MEASUREMENT SENSORS POSITION SENSORS
Brightness sensors look for dark or light areas. Width sensors measure a part, component, or feature. Edge presence sensors verify the presence of edge features.
Contrast sensors look for bright and dark areas. Height sensors measure a part, component, or feature. Object position sensors verify the location of objects (blobs).
Pattern sensors understand your part features and let you know when the feature appears. Diameter sensors measure a part, component, or feature. Pattern position sensors verify the location of patterns and support 360 degree rotation.
Edge position sensors verify the location of edges and support up to 20 degrees rotation.

Intuitive application and communication setup
The key to the simplicity of the Checker is its One-Click Setup™. By simply clicking on the feature in the image that you want to inspect, Checker automatically creates a sensor, learns the features attributes and sets the appropriate pass/fail criteria.

Checker Vision Sensors Accessories

SensorView 2 smart display
A PC is not required to give production managers the power to configure, test, edit and monitor vision sensor activity on the factory floor or in the control room.

Colored lighting and polarization options
Optional integrated lighting accessories include red, blue, green, infrared and bright white LED lights. A polarization window is available for specular reflection or “glare” reduction.

Colored filters
Bandpass filters are offered for both visible and IR wavelengths (470, 525, 590, 635 and 850nm).

Adjustable mounting bracket
With metric, imperial, and through-hole mounting, it provides an easy way to adjust the mounting angle of Checker for optimal lighting.

Lenses
The Checker lens kit includes 3.6, 8, 16 and 25mm lenses. (Note: 5.8mm lens ships standard.)

Cables
Straight or right-angled power, I/O and Ethernet cables are available in a variety of lengths.
